We are ready to say goodbye to 2025, and if you are like me, you are hoping that 2026 is much better than last year. If so, there are some things that you might want to do tonight to help usher in good luck in 2026.
Growing up, my Mom always would give us a new quarter with the new year on it on New Year's Eve to help bring money into our lives in the New Year. Since I am not broke, this will be a tradition that I will keep. If you need more than just money in 2026, you might want to try doing some of these things below.
Ways To Bring Good Luck To Yourself In The New Year
Jump Off A Chair At Midnight - In Denmark, there is a long-standing tradition of jumping off a chair when the new year comes in. It is supposed to help you jump away from bad luck and toward good fortune in the new year.
Break Some Glass - In many parts of the world, breaking glass on New Year's Day is a way to break away from the old negative vibes from the past year and start off with new or good luck.
Wake Up Early On New Year's Day - It is an old Polish saying that what you do on New Year's Day is what you will do all year long. So if you wake up early and start the day off on the right foot on New Year's Day, you will do that all year long. Start positive and end positive.
Don't Eat Chicken On New Year's Day. An old saying states that since chickens have wings, eating chicken on New Year's Day will allow your good luck to fly away. This might not be great for anyone living in Buffalo!
