
Heat Advisory In Place For Parts of Western New York
It looks like the hot humid weather is back for at least one more day causing the National Weather Service to issue a Heat Advisory for parts of Western New York.
With Temps in the upper 80's today and the humidity still high the heat index could be in the mid 90's for much of the day today.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for today from 10 am until 8 pm.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening. * LOCATIONS...Northern Erie county. * TIMING...From late this morning through early this evening. * HEAT INDEX VALUES...In the upper 90s. * IMPACTS...The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity levels will result in a potential for heat-related illnesses if proper precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air-conditioned room...stay out of the sun...and check in on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. when possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
Please make sure that you have plenty of water if you plan on being outside and make sure to check on people that don't have air conditioning.
