WHAT IS THE GOODYEAR BLIMP?

The Goodyear Blimp has been a mainstay in the air over events in America and Europe since 1925. Currently, there are 3 airships that represent Goodyear that are operated around the world

IS THE GOOD YEAR BLIMP REALLY A BLIMP?

The answer is no. Blimps which are non-ridged airships are no longer used by Goodyear. The last true blimp used by Gooodyear was retired in 2017. Currently, the company has three semi-ridged airships they use for events. Technically these are not "blimps" but the company still refers to them as "Goodyear Blimps"

WHERE CAN I SEE THE GOODYEAR BLIMP?

CAN I RIDE IN THE GOODYEAR BLIMP?

You can, but there are restrictions. Goodyear only allows corporate sponsors and media to ride in the blimp. There are no public rides available. So if you want to ever ride the blimp you will need to work for a corporate partner of Goodyear or for a media station.

IS IT TRUE THAT GOODYEAR MADE HISTORY IN 2019?

Yes, the Goodyear Blimp became the first non-person to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019. The Goodyear Blimp has been associated with College Football for years and will now be part of their Hall of Fame forever.
