WIVB-TV Meteorologists are calling for mainly dry weather today (Tuesday) with more clouds than sunshine,and the chance of a shower late in the day north of Buffalo. As a warm front moves in, noticeably warmer temperatures become the rule south of Buffalo, with the 70s well south near the Pennsylvania border, while readings build into the mid-60s near Buffalo, and close to 60 along Lake Ontario.

By midweek the weather turns unsettled.  Showers Wednesday, not an all-day rain but the chance of a spring thundershower.  Steadier rain arrives Thursday afternoon and a noticeable temperature dip on the way late week with some spots struggling to hit 50 on Friday. Cooler weather returns for the weekend. Readings generally in the 50s with a mix of clouds and Sun both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will be seasonable to start May next week.

TODAY: Cloud Sun Mix, Slight Chance of a Shower late north of Buffalo, Milder, High: near 60 Lake Ontario, 65 Buffalo, 70-75 well south of the area.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly Cloudy, Warm, Scattered Showers Develop, a Thunderstorm with a locally heavy downpour possible, High: 70

THURSDAY: Rain Increases, High: 64

FRIDAY: A Cold Wind, Odd Breaks in the Clouds, a spotty Rain Shower, High: 52,

SATURDAY: Brisk Wind Diminishes PM, Clouds Give way to Sun, High: 54

SUNDAY: Mostly Sunny, More comfortable, High: 61
