If you have spent the past couple of weeks telling everyone and anyone that you are sick of the cold and snow like I have, this will be great news.

After another blast of winter here in Western New York, I wanted to see if I could finally have some hope on the way with Spring weather on the way, and it looks like that will not have to wait too long for some good news.

Farmer's Almanac Calling For A Warm Month Of March

I took a look at the long-range forecast from the Old Farmer's Almanac, and it is not too bad. It looks like the snow we are seeing this week in Western New York will carry over for a bit in the month of March, but then things will warm up.

After some colder-than-normal temperatures to kick off the month, we will warm up midway and get really warm before cooling down a bit to wrap up the month in Western New York.

Here is the March forecast from the Old Farmer's Almanac

Mar 1-7Snowy, chilly, then milder
Mar 8-13Lake-effect snow east, flurries west; colder
Mar 14-18Sunny, warmer
Mar 19-28Showers, turning very warm
Mar 29-31Sunny, cooler
Marchtemperature 41° (3° above avg.)
precipitation 2" (1" below avg.)

It isn't great to see the snow in the early part of the month, but I will take the above-average temps later on. Overall, it looks like March will be slightly warmer than normal, and after what we had in Janurary and February, I will take it.
