
Will The Rain EVER Stop In Western New York?
You might want to start working on building an Ark, because it looks like we are going to see plenty of rain here in Western New York over the next several days.
If you are like me, you had been hoping that the nasty, wet, and cold weather of April would be gone and we would start off the month of May with more Spring/Summer like weather. I was really hoping for several days of sunny and 70 in the 716.
Well, that is not going to happen!
When Will The Rain Stop In New York?
Looking at the long-range forecast, it looks like we could see five or six straight days of rain here in Western New York. While it won't rain the whole day, there will be showers for part of the day through next Thursday.

Why Are We Getting So Much Rain In New York?
The rain here has to do with the jet stream. The jet stream has "cut-off" the dry Canadian air, allowing for moist air from the East Coast to move across the state.
Will May Be A Total Wash-Out?
The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a warm but very wet month of May for Western New York. It looks like we will have rain for the majority of the month.
