Canine Parvovirus (parvo) is a contagious virus that affects any age, breed, or gender dog. The disease can be transmitted by any person, animal, or object that comes in contact with an infected dog’s feces.

Parvovirus can live in an environment for months and endure the hottest and coldest temperatures. It is also resistant to many disinfectants. Because this is a virus, THERE IS NO CURE. Treatment is intense and generally requires an extended veterinary hospital stay.

Signs of parvo are vomiting, bloody diarrhea, lethargy, and loss of appetite.

PARVO IS VIRAL, HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS, AND CAN BE LIFE-THREATENING!
PREVENTION THROUGH VACCINATION is the only way to ensure a puppy or dog remains immune to parvo.
