Additional Information

Suburban Adult Services, Inc (SASi) is hosting a fundraising event on the Miss. Buffalo, on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. The event includes hors d’oeuvres, open beer/wine/soda bar, dinner, dessert and live music with local entertainer, Saxman Slim. All of the event proceeds will benefit 2 of SASi’s specialized services: High Hurdles Therapeutic Riding Program and Moving Miracles Dance Program
The High Hurdles Therapeutic Riding Program was developed in 1997 by a committee of parents, educators and professionals who were interested in providing a therapeutic riding experience for children with developmental disabilities. The program has expanded over the years and currently serves hundreds of riders, from age three to eighty-three years of age. High Hurdles offers cognitively, emotionally and physically challenged individuals a unique opportunity for growth and development. Learning to care for and about horses while mastering riding skills is what High Hurdles is all about.
Keep in mind - the therapeutic program at High hurdles is not only for riders! We also have off-horse horsemanship classes for those who may not have the desire to ride. Ask us how we can build a program to meet your needs!
Moving Miracles dance program provides sessions in a safe, non-threatening environment for individuals with special needs, to grow and develop their personal potential. Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of movement and studying a dance style in modified or technical form.
Moving Miracles is committed to assisting individuals with special needs by developing their highest potential through a kinesthetic approach combining dance, creative movement, music, props and rhythm, ultimately inspiring self-expression, self-esteem & socialization
SASi is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in Western New York.
