One small town in Western New York is representing the entire state in the race to be named America's Favorite Small Town. Parade Magazine released the names of the regional winners for this year's competition, and New York State is on the list.

Parade Magazine Announces Regional Winners For America's Favorite Small Town

One town in New York State is in the running to win the title of America's Favorite Small Town. East Aurora, New York, was one of two Northeast regional winners and will move on to the final round to be named America's Favorite Small Town by Parade Magazine.

East Aurora has been a regional winner in the past, but has never won the title of America's Favorite Small Town.

Here is a look at the eight finalists in Parade Magazine's Favorite Small Town competition.

NORTHEAST: East Aurora, NY / Montpelier, VT

SOUTHEAST: Dunedin, FL / Rayne, LA

MIDWEST: Galena, IL / LaCrosse, WI

SOUTHWEST: Silver City, NM / El Reno, OK

WEST: Lodi, CA / Bend, OR

The winner of the competition will be announced later this month. The winning town will get a community Celebration during the town’s July 4th festivities, complete with potential celebrity involvement, sponsor giveaways, and national media coverage.

The town will also be recognized as “Favorite Small Town in America” and will be able to use a special badge and signage to showcase its achievement.

East Aurora has won numerous awards in the past and is also known for being one of the hotspots across the country for Christmas movie producers who have filmed several movies in the 716.
