Tonight Will Be Don Postles Final Broadcast In Buffalo New York
Another longtime TV News anchor is saying goodbye before the end of the year.
WIVB Channel 4 in Buffalo announced that anchor Don Postles will be retiring this month and his last broadcast will be tonight, December 19th.
Postles will join his long-time co-anchor Jackie Walker in retirement. Walker stepped away from anchoring duties with WIVB in May and is now working on special projects for the station.
WIVB has not named who will be taking over anchoring duties for Postles, but all signs point to Dave Greber who is the current co-anchor of News 4 at 4 and anchor of News 4 at 6:30 pm.
During his career, Postles has won many awards including First Place Investigative Reporting by New York State Broadcasters Association in 1995.
He was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcaster's Hall of Fame in 2014 and is the only TV news anchor to have anchored the news on all three TV stations in Buffalo.
