This has been an extraordinary week. The elimination of Osama Bin Laden by U.S. special forces was a historical event that will join the ranks of other major U.S. historic events in our lifetime. People will ask, where were you and what were you doing when Bin Laden was killed. I can think of three other similar events.

The assassination of President Kennedy. I was in Mr. Latona's seventh grade math class. He came in very grim and wrote it on the blackboard.

Next, the day the space shuttle Challenger blew up. I was home making lunch for my daughter.

And of course the day the twin towers fell in Manhattan. I was working in downtown Pittsburgh, watching the entire city evacuate because a plane had gone down in Shanksville, Pa and they could not account for all planes in the air. Theses are moments that define us as Americans. Where were you?
