Here Are 5 Changes That Western New Yorkers Want Right Now

GET BETTER POLICATIONS

No matter what side you are on, you probably think the people in charge of Western New York need to do better. Mayor Brown left the City of Buffalo with a $26 million dollar deficit when he left office early. Local mayors and councilpeople fight and bicker with each other, and it seems like nothing gets done because both sides would rather fight and not work with each other. It is time to clean house on both sides of the aisle.

CLEAN UP THE LAKES AND WATERWAYS

How many times have you been told not to eat, or limit the amount of fish you eat that you catch here in Western New York? We have two of the largest freshwater lakes in America on our borders, yet they are super polluted. A lot of Western New Yorkers want better waterways.

LOWER THE TAXES

We pay some of the highest taxes in the country here in Western New York. A simple tax cut or lowering of the sales tax in the state and counties would go a long way to keep more money in our pockets.

SHORTEN THE LENGTH OF WINTER

We have a lot of fun in the winter here in Western New York. From skiing to sledding to winter hikes, there are plenty of options to have fun in the snow. We just don't need winter and cold temperatures to last 8 or 9 months out of the year. Plus, summers are elite here in the 716, an extra month of summer weather would be great.
