Buffalo’s Tage Thompson Set New NHL Record
The Buffalo Sabres extended their winning streak with a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings at KeyBank Center on Saturday afternoon and in the process set a new NHL record.
During the game, Buffalo Sabre center Tage Thompson set a new record for the hardest shot ever recorded in an NHL game.
Thompson's slapshot was recorded at 104.69 miles per hour which is the hardest shot recorded in an NHL game using the NHL Edge technology.
Thompson ended the game with two goals and one assist for three points. He now has scored a point in six straight games which is on game short of his career record.
