Fridmann had been with WIVB for 2 1/2 years working as a reporter and anchor.

Mel Orlins who co-hosted the morning show with Dave Greber left for an anchor job in South Carolina. Gabrielle Mediak who was the morning show reporter left in 2022 to become the morning anchor in Harrisburg, Pennslyina.

Fridmann has been co-anchoring the Channel 4 morning news along with Chris Horvatits and Mike Cejka.

There is no word on who is expected to replace Fridmann at the anchor desk, but there is a job posting for a news anchor on the WIVB website.

That full-time position was posted two days ago but it doesn't specify what on-air shift it is for.

If you are interested in the job, you need a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. The posting for the job also mentions that you must be open to working any shift.

You can apply for the job HERE.
