After two wins this weekend, the Buffalo Sabres are still hanging on in the NHL playoff race.

After wins over Tampa Bay and Boston this weekend, the Buffalo Sabres have 74 points on the season, which is 11 points out of the 8th and final playoff spot with 6 games remaining.

Currently, Montreal is in the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 85 points. The Buffalo Sabres would have to win their 6 remaining games, and they hope that Montreal will lose their last 5 games for a chance for the Sabres to make the playoffs this season.

Philadelphia and Boston are the only two teams in the Eastern Conference that have been eliminated from the playoff race.

Here is who the Sabres play to wrap up the season:

Carolina at home
Columbus on the road
Florida on the road
Tampa Bay on the road
Toronto at home
Philadelphia at home

If the Sabres lose any of those games, they will be eliminated from the playoffs for a record 14th straight season. The last time the Sabres made the playoffs was the 2010-11 season.

That year, the Sabres lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Philadelphia Flyers.
