The NFL trade deadline is coming up soon and the Buffalo Bills could end up moving off one of their former 1st round picks.

As teams start to decide if they are buyers or sellers heading into the November 5th trade deadline, the Bills could end up making a couple of moves.

The team has been linked to rumors of trades for Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp, but there is a move they could make that many people are not expecting.

The Bills could end up trading former 1st round draft pick Kaiir Elam. Elam was drafted 23rd overall in the 2022 draft and he has struggled to get on the field over the past couple of seasons.

So far this year, Elam has only played in a handful of plays while recording 4 tackles. If the Bills are looking at making a trade, Elam could be part of it because of his salary and cap hit.

If the Bills were to trade Elam away they could end up saving almost $2 million dollars in cap space this season. That money could be used for one of the above mention trades or another one that Brandon Beane is currently working on.

While most teams hate to trade a 1st round pick, the Bills could be in the position to do so since Christian Benford, who was drafted in the 6tth round of the same draft as Elam, has become one of the team's starting cornerbacks.

We will have to wait and see, but don't be surprised if the Bills move off Elam before the trade deadline.
