3 Surprise Players The Buffalo Bills Could Sign This Week
The Buffalo Bills have to get their roster down to 53 players at 4 pm today but they could still have a couple of new faces before final cuts.
The Bills still have some holes to fill and here are three players that the team could sign to their 53-man roster.
Carson Wentz
After this preseason it looks like Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley are not the answer if Josh Allen goes down to an injury. Sure Wentz has had plenty of issues but the way he plays is like Josh Allen and with Ken Dorsey helping out Wentz could be like Mitch Trubuski who signed with the Bills for a year before heading to Pittsburgh to compete for a starting job. Wentz is 46-46-1 as a starter in the NFL.

Jake Fromm
The former 5th-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2020 was signed off Buffalo's practice squad by the New York Giants in 2021. He played with the Giants until the end of the season before signing with Washington last season where he was on the team's practice squad. He is expected to be Washington's 3rd QB and if he lands on the practice squad again, the Bills could sign him and activate him to be Allen's backup. Both Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott saw something in him ot draft him in the 5th round. Do they still see something in him?
James Robinson
The Bills are still searching for a running back and now that Robinson is a free agent, he could add some depth and experience to the Bills running back room. Robinson was a rookie free agent signing with Jacksonville before being traded to the Jets last season. He signed with New England and the Giants this offseason and was just released by New York this weekend. He has been plagued by injuries but if he can stay healthy he could end up in Buffalo. He has rushed for over 2200 yards so far in his career.
