The NFL regular season is now officially over and we know the playoff matchups for this weekend and there is good news for the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills finished the season with a 13-4 record and claimed the #2 overall seed for the AFC playoffs which means they will host the Denver Broncos who finished as the #7 seed this year.

That is good news for the Bills because their head coach Sean McDermott has an undefeated record against rookie quarterbacks in the playoffs.

McDermott won playoff games against the Patriots and Mac Jones when Jones was a rookie in 2021 and the Bills beat Miami and rookie QB Skylar Thompson in 2022.

Overall McDermott is 11-4 in games against rookie Quarterbacks in his career giving up just 7 touchdowns while forcing 17 interceptions.

That is good news for the Bills as the Broncos will relie on rookie QB Bo Nix to come to Highmark Stadium on Sunday to take on the Bills.

Nix threw for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions during the regular season.

He threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns against the Chiefs backup players in yesterday's playoff clinching win for the Broncos.

On the other side, Josh Allen is having an MVP season and only played one snap in yesterday's loss to the Patriots in New England.

The Bills are currently favored to win Sunday's playoff game against the Broncos. Las Vegas has the Bills as a 7.5 favorite to win the game.

Kick-off for the playoff game will be at 1 pm at Highmark Stadium. The game will air on CBS and can be seen locally on WIVB Channel 4.
