This weekend chances are you will be out and about running some errands and you might notice that you need some gas.

If you are like me and have a BJs Wholesale membership, you know that the lines to save on gas can get long on the weekend and I notice one of the reasons is that people don't understand simple instructions.

So if you are filling up at BJ's gas station this weekend, PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!

If you read the signs at the pumps you notice that it says the gas lines can be stretched to reach both sides of your car. It doesn't matter which side your gas tank is on, you can pull to any pump and fill up.

But almost every time I go to fill up, people are waiting at the entrance for a pump on the same side of their car and blocking people from going to open pumps.

If you want to wait for a pump on the same side of your tank, then you need to pull behind a car and wait. Don't just wait at the entrance and block everyone.

People who don't mind pulling on the gas line to pump on the other side are being blocked because you are waiting.

So next time you are lining up for gas at a BJs gas station, go ahead and play gas pump roulette. Which one will open up the fastest? Will the pump you pick be the quickest one? Go ahead and just pull up and pick a pump the next time and see if you are lucky.
