It looks like the end of April and the start of May will feel like October and November in Western New York.
Arctic Chill Heading To Western New York
A massive arctic front is moving through Western New York over the next several days, leading to some WELL below temperatures across the region.
While many of us were hoping to start planting our outdoor flowers and veggies, those plans will have to wait. Temperatures this week are expected to drop close to, if not below, freezing overnight, which could lead to frost, and that is VERY bad for plants.
On top of temperatures being 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal across Western New York, it will also be a very wet week in the 716. We are going to have more rain on and off today, with a break and sunshine tomorrow, before more rain is back in the forecast for Friday.
Old Farmer's Almanac Calling For Cooler And Wetter Month Of May In Western New York
It looks like the cool and wet trend will continue throughout the month of May. Overall, we will see temperatures a couple of degrees cooler in May, with over 2 more inches of rain expected this month as well.
