Bitter Cold Weather Over In New York State
After a bitterly cold weekend across New York State, things will start to warm up as we head into Christmas and the New Year.
A warming trend will bring a warm-up starting today and lasting over the next 7 to 10 days.
Starting in Western New York, temperatures will rise and get to above average for this time of the year.
In Central and Northern New York, temperatures will remain more near the average temperature and there is a chance of scattered snow showers for Christmas Day.
Downstate, the cold overnight weather will keep things very cold this morning and through the day. Temperatures should rise above freezing tomorrow and for the rest of the week.
