While we will have a very mild Monday, a massive cold front is set to bring some bitter cold and snow back to Western New York.

Today we are looking at some scattered showers with a high in the upper 40s but a major temperature drop is coming and we could see a 20-degree drop in our high temperature by Thursday morning.

Looking ahead we are expected to see high temperatures in the low 30s and upper 20s starting on Thursday with very bitter cold temperatures expected this weekend. We are looking at a high of only 24 on Saturday and 21 on Sunday.

If you are heading out to the Bills' home game against the New England Patriots on Sunday at Highmark Stadium, you will want to make sure you are dressed for some bitter-cold weather.

Lows this weekend could drop into single digits and the wind chill could make it feel like it is below zero at times.

The good news is that there will be a slight warmup for Christmas Day with the expected high to be near 40. That means we could be in for a green Christmas for parts of Western New York this year.
