“Big Money” Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York”

Christmas came early for one Powerball player in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that one 3rd place winning ticket was sold in the state from Monday Night's Powerball drawing.

That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball to win $50,000.

Monday's winning Powerball numbers were: 22-42-44-57-64 with a Powerball of 18.

No one claimed the grand prize so the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is up to $117 million dollar. That would be a great Christmas present to win.

If you can't wait for Christmas to win millions of dollars, you can get tickets for tonight's Mega Millions drawing. The jackpot is $970 million dollars which more than doubles the currently record for the largest lottery jackpot ever won in New York State.

The current record was set back in April 2023, when Johnnie Taylor won the Mega Millions jackpot worth $476 million dollars.

If you want to get tickets for tonight's Mega Millions you will need to get your tickets before 10 pm. Ticket cost $2 each and you can choose your own numbers or get a "Quick Pick" where the computer picks the numbers for you.

The odds of winning the grand prize for the Mega Millions is 1 in 302,575,350, while the odds of winning the grand prize jackpot for the Powerball is 1 in 302,575,350.
