“Big Money” Mega Millions Winner In New York State

The final lottery drawing of 2024 turned out to be pretty good for one lottery player in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that one "Big Money" winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in the state from the final Mega Millions drawing of 2024.

Tuesday Night's drawing produced one ticket that won the 3rd place prize of $10,000. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Mega Ball to win the prize.

The odds of winning the 3rd place Mega Millions prize is 1 in 931,001.

That ticket wasn't the only winner in New York State. There were also 42 4th place winners. These tickets matched four out of five numbers and won $500.

Even better, there were 84 5th place winners. These tickets matched 3 out of five numbers and also had the Mega Ball and won $200.

No one claimed the grand prize, so the jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing is up to $42 million dollars.
