Well Below Average Temperatures In Western New York AGAIN

If you thought it has been extra cold so far this month you are absolutely right. The month of February has been a cold one in Western New York and it looks like that cold trend is going to continue.

A winter weather advisory remains in place for Niagara County until 1 pm this afternoon with an additional 1-2 inches of lake effect snow possible this morning. A lake effect snow warning remains in place for Orleans and Monroe counties until 1 pm this afternoon. Up to 3 inches of lake effect snow is possible this morning.

The average temperature for the month of February over the past 5 years in Buffalo has been around 30 degrees. The average daily temperature this year for the month of February has been around 28 degrees, so we are not too far off the historical average over the past several years.
