Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines Tennis, ping-pong, and badminton all into one.

WHO INVENTED PICKLEBALL?

While the sport has garnered national attention recently, Pickleball was invented back in 1965. According to Pickleball USA,  three dads, Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum came up with the idea after their kids were bored with their usual summertime activities.

HOW DO YOU PLAY PICKLEBALL?

Pickleball can be played with 2 or 4 players and is played on a special Pickleball court (a smaller version of a tennis court). The rules are similar to tennis. Check out this video for basic steps to play pickleball

WHAT CITY WAS NAMED THE BEST IN AMERICA FOR PICKLEBALL?

According to a new study conducted by Lawnlove.com, the best city in the country for pickleball players is New York City. The "Big Apple" was highly rated for the amount of pickleball courts and facilities. New York City also has the most "Free to Play" pickleball courts in the county.

WHAT OTHER CITIES MADE THE LIST OF BEST PLACES TO PLAY PICKLEBALL?

NYC claimed the top spot. It was followed by Austin, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, and then Chicago. Also making the Top 10 list was Orlando, St. Louis, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
