Famous Store Is Reopening At The Walden Galleria
For the most part, Western New York’s own Walden Galleria has pretty much anything shoppers could need or want.
One of the largest in the country, “The Galleria” (as it’s known to most of us) has your standard mall staples like department stores Macy’s and JCPenney, popular fashion retailers like H&M and Urban Outfitters, and tech stores like Apple and Best Buy.
You can also find tons of places to eat, as well as family entertainment spots like Dave & Busters and Urban Air Adventure Park. When it comes to anything you’d want to find in a mall, they’ve pretty much got your bases covered.
That being said, there are a few things missing from the Galleria that we wish they had (or still had). The high-end grocery store Premier Gourmet shut the doors to their enormous 5,300 square foot location inside the mall this past April, bumming out fans of the fancy retailer.

There’s also many popular retailers glaringly absent from the Walden Galleria, like Ulta Beauty and Banana Republic, that Buffalo shoppers wish they could find there. So even though the Galleria is one of the better malls in New York State, it’s not perfect.

However, one store that closed in the Walden Galleria years ago is returning to the massive mall this fall, and many of us here in Western New York are about to get hit with a serious dose of nostalgia.
Abercrombie & Fitch Reopening At Walden Galleria
A famous clothing retailer we spent our hard-earned allowance on in high school is coming back to the Galleria in a big way.
After closing in 2021, Abercrombie & Fitch is coming back to the mall, taking over where the Microsoft store used to be on the first floor between Zara and Free People. According to Buffalo Business First, Abercrombie’s new space will be a gigantic 6,900 square-feet, and is projected to open this November.
Abercrombie has had its ups and downs in popularity over the years, along with its fair share of trouble. The brand was often criticized for their racy in-store advertising and catalogs, as well as accusations of racial discrimination that was detailed in an eye-opening Netflix documentary.
However, the controversial brand has made a big comeback recently, and after a rebranding is now popular among both Gen Z and millennials who grew up wearing their clothes.
Whether or not you wear Abercrombie’s clothes today, you’ve got to admit– it’ll be nice to smell that iconic cologne wafting through the halls of the Walden Galleria again.
