There comes a point in almost everyone's life when there is a need for help when it comes to older relatives.

Delilah has put together a list of telling signs for keeping an eye out for relatives getting higher in age.

Every so often I like to include a fun list in my newsletter; a song list or a unique idea list, but today's list is meant to make your life a little easier, either now or down the road. If you are, or know someone who is, the caregiver for an aging parent, this list is for you. If you think one day you may be in a situation to make decisions for an aging relative, this list is also for you. And if you are a parent who wants to talk with your children about your own care down the road, you too should read on. Don't pass up free, helpful information.

Today's list reveals 5 telling signs your aging parent or loved one may need extra help at home, and it's important that you talk about the situation sooner rather than later...

1. Complicated medical issues or medications

2. Dirty house or clutter piling up (including laundry)

3. Stacks of unopened mail or overflowing mailbox

4. Poor diet or decreased weight

5. Forgetfulness, confusion or memory loss

You don't have to be the only source of support for your loved one. Visit InterimHealthcare.com/Delilah and take their free independent living assessment to learn how your parent may need help - and the steps you can take to get them the help they need.
