Desirability Index - 17.5%

#5 - New York City - The "Big Apple" is the 5th place best place to live in the state of New York. NYC got an overall rating of 5.9. The City got high marks for the job market, quality of life, and Desirability.
#4 - Buffalo - The Western most city in New York, Buffalo was ranked the 4th best city to live in. Buffalo got high marks for affordability and quality of life. Buffalo was rated 6.4 overall.
#3 - Rochester - Rochester was rated 6.4 overall and is the 3rd best city to live in. Rochester got high marks for quality of life and was rated 6.4 overall.
#2 - Syracuse - Located in Central New York, Syracuse was given high marks for affordability and quality of life.
#1 - Albany - New York's capital city was ranked as the best city to live in here in New York State. Albany was given high marks for value and the job market. It was also rated the 21st best city in the country.
