The ‘Ig Nobel’ Awards — The Winners, and Eric Jordan’s New Dating Method [VIDEOS]

This is one of those "I couldn't make it up if I tried, folks" kind of things.

The 26th annual 'Ig Nobel' prizes were handed out at Harvard last week. What are the Ig Awards?

They're awards for the DUMBEST advances in science.  Again, I couldn't make it up if I tried.

Some of our favorites:

• An Egyptian scientist studied whether wearing different types of pants affected the sex lives of RATS.  He made tiny little pants of polyester, cotton, and wool.  (PS Rats don't like polyester pants on mates, apparently)
• A New Zealand team tried to determine if ROCKS have different personalities.  ROCKS.
• A Belgium study asked 1,000 liars how often they lie.  They then BELIEVED the results, and published them.

Our favorite, however, was a Japanese group ran a study that found things look different when you bend over and look at them through their legs.  I tried it:
