Spring is in the air, and so are a few highly-anticipated new movie releases as we begin our climb to the eventful blockbuster days of summer. In addition to big-budget outings like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 10 Cloverfield Lane, next month also brings exciting indies like The Lobster, Krisha and Midnight Special. Furious 7 is the number one movie in the world, breaking box office records left and right. In a totally unconnected and hugely coincidental bit of news, a sequel to last year’s racing film Need For Speed is in the works from Electronic Arts and a bunch of Chinese partners. Get ready: Here comes Need For Speed: Second Gear! No? Okay, how about Need For Additional Speed? Wait, I’ve got it! 2 Need 2 Speed! Oh yeah, that’s the winner right there.

'Breaking Bad' may be over, but there's still plenty of love to go around for the series at tonight's 2014 Emmy Awards, as Bryan Cranston has just been given the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Other nominees included Oscar winners Kevin Spacey for 'House of Cards' and Matthew McConaughey for 'True Detective.'

‘Breaking Bad’ won the 2014 Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, beating out such other contenders as ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘True Detective.’

The 2014 Emmy nominations were announced this morning, July 10. 'Game of Thrones' led everyone else with 19 nominations total, followed by 'Fargo' and 'American Horror Story: Coven' with 18 and 17 nominations, respectively.

If the main goal of 'Divergent' was to snag a large portion of the audience for 'The Hunger Games,' it looks like it succeeded. Although it didn't reach the absurd heights of Katniss' two movies, Shailene Woodley's dystopian adventure effortlessly nabbed the number one spot and, unless something bad happens next week, announced the arrival of a new big franchise.

As hard as it will be to say goodbye to Bryan Cranston's Walter White and those still left alive in the cast, 'Breaking Bad' has made its goodbye a little longer by extending the final two episodes to seventy-five minutes a piece.
