Niagara Falls Medical Unit Honored For Work In Afghanistan [VIDEO]

A medical unit based out of the Niagara Falls Air Base has been honored for their service in Afghanistan.  The 1982nd Forward Surgical Team is said to have been the busiest medical unit in Afghanistan last year with more than 200 surgeries.  The unit dealt with soldiers and civilians who suffered traumatic injuries.

A number of different awards were presented to members of the Team during a ceremony yesterday at the Niagara Falls Air Base.
