Back in the day, movie and television production companies had to build elaborate sets to recreate, say, 1920's New York City for a specific project. Now, though, all it takes is a bank of computers and some very clever operators.

The people at Brainstorm Digital are very clever operators. Among the movies and TV series they work on is HBO's Boardwalk Empire, set in Prohibition-era Atlantic City. Without the digital tricks they provide, it would probably be too expensive to create such a lavish visual recreation of those days.

Brainstorm has won a few awards for their work on Boardwalk Empire, including an Emmy, and after seeing the video, I understand why.
