There is now more than just "The Pit" across from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

Crews working on building the new Buffalo Bills stadium hit a major milestone when they placed the first steel beam of the new stadium into the ground on Friday.

Since it was first released that the Bills would be building a new stadium in Orchard Park, fans have been chomping at the bit to see it go up and enjoy the newest stadium in the NFL.

The plan is to have the stadium ready for the 2026 season. This $1.4 billion project will be the biggest construction project in the region and it looks like the target date to get the stadium ready for the 2026 season is on track.

EXTRA: JOSH ALLEN WILL SPEND OFFSEASON HERE

Now that the first steel beam is in place, we can't wait to start to see the skeleton of the new stadium slowly rise over the next several months.
